Chief Instructor to English Shotokan Alliance

After 20 years in the KUGB attaining 3rd Dan with Sensei K Enoeda, Slater became a founder member of the late Steve Cattle's English Shotokan Academy where he was head of the technical committee and senior Dan Grade examiner. He gained 6th Dan with Sensei Tajji Kase in 2002 and after 17 years in the English Shotokan Academy left to establish the English Shotokan Alliance with Sensei Paul Barron. Slater is renowned for his incredibly powerful techniques and deep understanding and unique approach to Kata Bunkai.
